The new Senior Editor and six PULP magazine editors were announced at the launch of Issue 15. Hugo Hay (Senior Editor), Ashray Kumar, China Meldrum, Kelly Caviedi, Joan Brizuela, Bipasha Chakraborty, and Estelle Vigouroux will edit the magazine for the next year.
The University of Sydney Union (USU) funds PULP which has been a print magazine since mid-2022. The editors of the arts and culture magazine have a one-year term that coincides with the beginning of the student USU Board Director term.
PULP editors are paid $10,000 a year, and receive a $11 weekly meal credit for USU outlets.
Editors are chosen through a job application process, selected by a panel of USU staff and the exiting Senior Editor.
For the first time in PULP’s print iteration, students could apply either in a pre-formed team or as individuals. The successful team was a combination of a pre-formed team and individual applicants.
