All-in-all, this engaging production is a great opportunity for those lacking familiarity with the Orwellian world, as well as the 1984 scholars, connoisseurs, and fans alike.
Walking into Nowhere Fast —with its tagline: “The insecure alpha male. The hysterical office slut. The unhinged incel. The cool girl” — you know you are about to witness a hectic dynamic.
While there are moments where Machinal is just as hilarious as it is panic inducing, this SUDS production will get beneath your skin.
Don’t go into The Lamentable Tragedy of Titus Andronicus expecting a peaceful or palatable experience — the source material makes that unthinkable. But if you want to watch student performers tackle an undeniably challenging and confronting play with aplomb, you’d be well-advised to buy a ticket.
