Godwin, moving the motion, pointed out that unlike other policies which are more targeted “the achilles heel” of the CAP is the broad sweep of its attack not just on activists, but also ordinary clubs and societies who can be brought into the movement.

The NSW Council for Civil Liberties have stated that they oppose this policy “in the strongest terms,” with President Lydia Shelly calling for its “immediate reversal.”
